The Philippine Navy has bestowed a new rank to Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) Undersecretary Jeffrey Ian Dy.
Navy Flag Officer-in-Command Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr presided the donning ceremony for Lieutenant Commander Dy.
LCdr. Dy is part of 250,000 Naval Reserve Force of Navy.
“We consider our personnel to be the Navy’s greatest asset, and it is individuals like LCdr. Dy who, with their relentless service and pursuit of excellence, are the ultimate source of our organization’s strength and capability,” said Vice. Adm. Adaci Jr.
LCdr. Dy brings 20 years of expertise in technology and information security to his role at the DICT.
He oversees Infostructure Management, Cybersecurity, and ICT Literacy bureaus.
He also manages key initiatives such as the National Broadband Program and the Free Public Internet Access Program.
