Bicol region hit hardest by typhoon Enteng, Habagat – NDRRMC

Region 5 was most affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Enteng and Habagat in terms of population, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said on Tuesday.

NDRRMC said the Bicol region logged 85,856 individuals affected, which is equivalent to 22,220 families in its 226 barangays.

The typhoon also blocked 2 bridges and 38 roads in the region, including its communication lines and water supply.

In total, 147,024 individuals were directly affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Enteng and Habagat.

NDRRMC said it is equivalent to 37,867 families in 338 barangays in different regions in the country.

National Capital Region (NCR), meanwhile, logged 41,998 individuals affected followed by Central Luzon with 16,866 individuals.

The disaster agency is still validating 10 deaths and 10 missing reported to them in Calabarzon, Region 6 and Region 7.
