The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) announced the cancellation of at least 29 domestic flights due to bad weather conditions.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) Express suspended 12 local flights at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, (NAIA) including four flights to and from Daraga, two flights to and from Calbayog, four flights to and from Busuanga, and two flights to and from Zamboanga.
Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) and its sister airline CebGo canceled 13 flights to and from Legazpi, Masbate, San Jose, Naga, and Virac.
In addition, AirAsia Philippines canceled four local flights to and from Iloilo and Caticlan.
Given the evolving situation, travelers are advised to regularly check the status of their flights on the official websites of local airlines, and always check their mobile phones and email accounts.
The airlines, in collaboration with aviation authorities, are taking proactive measures to assess the feasibility of flights amid potential risks from Tropical Storm ‘Enteng.’
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) also announced the suspension of flight operations at Lingayen Airport.
CAAP also reported that San Jose Airport had two canceled local flights, affecting over 50 passengers.
Bicol International Airport had 10 canceled flights, while more than 140 passengers were affected by the cancellation of two flights at Masbate Airport, and two other flights were suspended at Virac Airport.
The CAAP stated that all airports in Area V (Bicol International Airport, Naga, Virac, Masbate, Daet, Bulan, and Bacon) sustained no damage from Tropical Storm ‘Enteng.’
The agency reported that general aviation flights at the airports in Tuguegarao, Cauayan, Palanan, Basco, and Itbayat are automatically canceled due to the typhoon signal.
