Malacañang suspended work on all government offices in Metro Manila on Monday due to inclement weather brought on by Typhoon Enteng.
“In view of the inclement weather brought about by Tropical Storm “Enteng,” work in government offices in the National Capital Region are hereby suspended at 8:30 a.m. today, 02 September 2024,” Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin said in a statement.
While government work has been halted, the decision to suspend work in private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.
“The suspension of work for private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads,” he added.
Earlier, Bersamin also announced the suspension of all levels of classes from public and private schools due to the heavy rains and strong winds brought by “Enteng.”
