The Civil Service Commission (CSC) marks its 124th anniversary with a nationwide “fun run” and fund-raising for the benefit of the bureaucracy’s “servant-heroes on Sunday, Sept. 1.
In the National Capital Region, the VibeRun aims to draw 20,000 participants from various government agencies, making it the largest simultaneous color fun run by a government agency in the country, the CSC said in a statement. The event will be held at the Quirino Grandstand in Ermita, Manila.
In celebration of the 124th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the CSC will kick off the festivities with a nationwide fun run to promote camaraderie, physical fitness, and mental well-being. The event also serves as a fundraiser for the Pamanang Lingkod Bayani Program of the CSC which honors public servants who died in the line of duty by providing their families with financial assistance, a scholarship, and recognition rites., the CSC said in a statement.
