Army chief Lt. Gen. Roy Galido has been conferred Asia’s Modern Hero Awards for “exemplary service, leadership, and unwavering dedication to duty.”
Army spokesman Col. Louie Dema-ala said, the awards “honor and celebrate present-day visionaries and trailblazers who embody the spirit of the “Modern Hero.”
It honors outstanding contributions in public service, educational institutions, disaster relief, human development, civil society, health and environment, business and entrepreneurship, and the justice and legal system.
On the same day, the Army’s 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division held its monthly Interfaith Thanksgiving Service at Camp Gonzalo Siongco in Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat in Maguindanao.
