The provincial government of Bataan reached a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to establish a consular office at The Bunker Building in the capitol compound in Balanga City.
This developed after the Provincial Board presided by Vice Governor Cris Garcia recently passed a resolution during its 96th regular session, approving the MOA between Bataan and the DFA.
The resolution aims to bring government services closer to the people and ensure the efficient and convenient delivery of DFA consular services, including the issuance of passports.
Bataan 2nd District Rep. Albert Garcia requested the DFA to establish a consular office in the province.
Bataan residents welcome this development for easier access to DFA services.
