THE Department of Education (DepEd) MIMAROPA Regional Office has received 50 desktop computers sets donated by Pilipinas Today to help students tackle online assignments.
Education Secretary Juan Edgardo Angara presided at the turnover ceremony, assisted by assistant secretary for operations Malcolm Garma, DepEd MIMAROPA director Nicolas Capulong, along with Pilipinas Today chief executive Renesar Deunida
Capulong said the donations would be vital in preparing their schools for online international assessments, notably the upcoming Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) next year.
Deunida, who has served as information technology specialist for the United Nations, the HSBC, and the World Health Organization, pledged to donate another 50 computer sets next month.
