Newest generals call on AFP chief Brawner

THE 39 newly promoted senior officials of the military on Tuesday called on Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., a day after they took their oath before their Commander in Chief, President Marcos.

During the courtesy call, Brawner Jr. congratulated the new generals on their well-deserved achievements and urged them to reaffirm the AFP’s commitment to upholding peace, security, and stability.

Twenty of the 39 newly promoted officers are from the Philippine Army (PA), nine from the Philippine Air Force (PAF), nine from the Philippine Navy (PN), and one from the Chaplain Service (CHS). 

The newly promoted officers from the Army were Lt. Gen.  Steve Crespillo, Maj. Gen. Arvin Lagamon, Maj. Gen. Edmundo Peralta, Maj. Gen.  Allan Hambala, Maj. Gen. Leodevic Guinid, Maj. Gen. Ramon Zagala, Maj. Gen. Domingo Gobway, Brig. Gen. Benedict Balaba, Brig. Gen. Ramon Flores, Brig. Gen. Jose Jesus Luntok, Brig. Gen. Antonio John Divinagracia, Brig. Gen. Arsenio Sadural, Brig. Gen. Ramon Antonio Bello, Brig. Gen. Emilio Pajarillo Jr.,  Brig. Gen. Jose Vladimir Cagara, Brig. Gen. Febie N Lamerez, Brig. Gen. Jose Ricky Laniog, Brig. Gen. Romualdo Raymund Landingin, Brig. Gen. Mario Jacinto, and Brig. Gen. Samuel Manzano.

From the PAF were Maj. Gen Jesus Nelson Morales, Brig. Gen. Lloyd Cabacuñgan, Brig. Gen. Fernando Ventura, Brig. Gen. Joselito  Lopena, Brig. Gen. Thad Rufino Candelario, Brig. Gen. Loreto Pasamonte, Brig. Gen. Gleen Albert Laguardia, Brig. Gen. Alvin Hate, and Brig. Gen. Josel  Zuñiga. 

From the Navy were Commodores Salvador Henry Quinto; Peter Jempsun De Guzman, Salvador Lavapie, Lemuel Espartinez; Jerry  Garrido, Brendo Casaclang, and Brig. Gen. Romulo Quemado; Brig. Gen. Ivan Papera; and Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Juan.

Chaplain Daniel Tansip was also promoted to brigadier general.

In his address, Brawner Jemphasized the importance of leadership, professionalism, and integrity in their duties. 

He urged the newly promoted star-ranked officers to continue striving for excellence and to serve with distinction, ensuring the safety and welfare of the Filipino people.
