The Social Security System (SSS) is urging the owners of a pharmacy and a household appliances retail store to settle their contribution delinquencies during a recent Run After Contribution Evaders (RACE) operation in Taguig City.

SSS president and chief executive officer Rolando Ledesma Macasaet said the two establishments were among the six delinquent employers who received notices of violation from the SSS for failure to remit the contributions of their workers and non-production of records.

He said the employers incurred P3.4 million in unpaid workers’ contributions and penalties.

Commissioner Robert Joseph de Claro representing the Employers’ Group joined Ledesma in their RACE operation.

Ledesma warned the concerned employers that they have only 15 days to coordinate with the SSS  and settle their contribution delinquencies, otherwise they could face civil, criminal and administrative cases for violating Republic Act 11199 or the Social Security Act of 2018.
