Takeda Healthcare Philippines Inc. has partnered with the Tzu Chi Foundation to enhance its Patient Assistance Program (PAP) for patients with Hodgkin lymphoma and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). The initiative aims to improve access to essential treatments, fostering better health outcomes and quality of life.
The Tzu Chi Foundation, a humanitarian organization active in the Philippines for 27 years, will help provide funding assistance for patients requiring antibody-drug conjugates for Hodgkin lymphoma or monoclonal antibody medicines for IBD.
“We look forward to this partnership as it allows us to help those in need,” said Loreann Villanueva, Country Manager of Takeda Philippines. “Tzu Chi’s mission aligns with ours, emphasizing the importance of combining our expertise and resources.”
Interested patients can enroll in the PAP through their doctors for further evaluation and financial support. This initiative addresses the financial barriers preventing patients from accessing necessary treatments, as less than half of Hodgkin lymphoma patients initiate therapy.
