Sunshine Place is hosting a workshop on the fundamentals of drawing for beginners, led by Jen Consumido. The course, running from Sept. 21 to Oct. 26 will be held every Saturday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
The workshop is designed to provide an academic approach to traditional drawing techniques, focusing on developing skills across various traditional media. Participants will learn to enhance their observation skills and translate their observations into precise and creative drawn representations. Key topics covered will include Line, Shape, Form, Tone, Texture, Space, and Perspective.
The workshop is open to individuals aged 12 and older. Consumido, a self-taught artist renowned for his work in watercolor painting, will lead the course. Consumido, who recently conducted a watercolor painting workshop at Sunshine Place, is known for his advocacy of watercolor as a fine art medium.
A starter kit, including a sketch pad, graphite pencils, and a kneaded eraser, will be provided at the venue.
