In celebration of its 400th founding anniversary, Valenzuela City, in partnership with San Miguel Brewery Inc. (SMB), is staging a three-day beer and music festival from October 20 to 22 along CJ Santos Open Grounds, Brgy. Malinta.
The three-month-long anniversary celebrations kicked off with the recent Tree of Hope lighting ceremony that signaled the city’s early Christmas festivities, to be followed by other exciting huge events such as an industry summit and cultural night, coffee table book launch, a visit from Korean delegates, and a Christmas bazaar, among others.
Commemoration day is slated on November 12, following Pueblo de Polo’s founding date, November 12, 1623. It will be highlighted by back-to-back celebrations – Polo Fiesta and Casa de Polo inauguration.
Meanwhile, the three-day San Miguel Beer Oktoberfest Beer and Music Festival will feature Valenzuela’s local artists on its grand opening night on October 20, followed by a HipHop Night and rap contest on October 21 and subsequently by a Rock Night and Battle of the Bands on October 22.
