Quezon City to launch first-ever QC Day Sale for 85th anniversary

In celebration of Quezon City’s 85th founding anniversary, the city government will host the inaugural QC Day Sale from October 11 to 13, in collaboration with major business and retail stakeholders.

Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte announced the three-day sale, held in partnership with the Philippine Retailers Association (PRA), the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry-Quezon City (PCCI-QC), and leading mall operators.

“This initiative is expected to stimulate economic activity, generate business opportunities, and support local enterprises. It’s also the city government’s gift to our QCitizens as part of our 85th-anniversary celebration,” Belmonte said in a statement.

The event also aims to underscore the business sector’s role as a key player in the city’s journey toward progress, as indicated by the theme for this year’s anniversary, “Tayo ang QC.”

Belmonte encouraged participating businesses to offer special discounts and promotions during the event.

“Businesses also have the flexibility to propose other creative offers, including freebies or other value-added incentives,” the mayor added.

Participating establishments will be promoted on the city’s official social media platforms, as well as on LED screens and streamers placed along major roads.

PRA President Bobby Claudio said the sale is an opportunity for retailers to collaborate with the city government and stimulate economic growth. “Through this, we can promote Quezon City as a premier retail and business hub in the Philippines while stimulating economic growth,” he said.

Lawyer Arnel Mateo, the PCCI-QC president, reiterated the organization’s commitment to supporting business development in the city. “PCCI-QC has been a longtime partner of the city government, fostering growth for entrepreneurs from nano to large enterprises,” Mateo said.

Participating malls include Fairview Terraces, Ayala Malls Vertis North, Eastwood Mall, Eton Centris, Ever Gotesco, Fisher Mall, Gateway, Robinsons Galleria, Robinsons Magnolia, SM City North Edsa, SM City Sta. Mesa, SM City Novaliches, SM City Fairview, Trinoma, UP Town Center, WalterMart The Junction, WalterMart North Edsa, WalterMart E. Rodriguez, Farmer’s Plaza, and AliMall.
