The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) headed by Colonel Hansel Marantan expressed support to the leadership of incoming director Brigadier General Leon Victor Rosete.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) regional office in Davao is anticipating the arrival of Rosete, who is now in command of the unit following the designation of erstwhile chief Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III as acting director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon said they are ready to receive new instructions from Rosete as their incoming acting director.
“We are committed to upholding the mandates and directives from our higher offices, ensuring that our operations remain aligned with the overall objectives of regional law enforcement,” Tuazon said in a statement.
“As we continue our mission to serve and protect, DCPO remains steadfast in its commitment to the public, ensuring that we deliver the highest quality service to the people. With the responsive community as our ally, we will work to enhance public safety and foster a secure environment for all,” she added.
Tuazon said they are ready to respond to future challenges under the leadership of Rosete “with professionalism, accountability, and a shared commitment” for the welfare of Davao City.”
PNP-Davao spokesperson Major Catherine Dela Rey, meanwhile, said they will issue a statement on the change of leadership after the turnover ceremony. She noted that Rosete is expected to report on September 28.
