Cops arrest two in shabu bust in Sulu

The Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR) and other law enforcement agencies intercepted P13.6 million worth of shabu and apprehended two suspected drug peddlers at a fish port in Barangay Tandu Bato, Luuk, Sulu. 

This operation was made possible by the partnership and commitment of Luuk Municipal Police Station; Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Sulu BARMM; Sulu Police Provincial Office’s PIU, 1st PMFC, and 2nd PMFC; 2nd RMFC of RMFB14-B; PNP RIU IX; CIDG IX; NICA 9; PCG Eastern Sulu; and the Philippine Army’s 112th Military Intelligence Company and 101st Infantry Brigade’s ‘A’ Company.

According to reports, Luuk MPS received a tip about the imminent transport of a significant amount of shabu out of the province. Authorities swiftly executed an operation at the fish port, apprehending two suspected drug peddlers who were planning to board a Jungkung, a motorized boat commonly used in the area.

The suspects, identified as “Ben” and “Win,” both of legal age, were found in possession of twenty-one (21) heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a total of 2 kilograms of shabu, valued at P13.6 million.
