THE Las Piñas City government has organized a “Health and Wellness Caravan” at the Almanza Uno Covered Court, attended by some 500 residents.
The event was organized by the City Health Office under Dr. Juliana Gonzalez and was also attended by Vice Mayor April Aguilar. It highlighted the local government’s commitment to providing accessible healthcare to city residents.
The caravan provided a wide range of services, including medical consultations, fasting blood sugar and random blood sugar (FBS/RBS) testing, cholesterol examination, blood typing, chest X-rays, dental services through a mobile dental bus, and ECG tests.
The event also featured a Greencard Help Desk and PhilHealth registration to assist residents with healthcare enrolment.
In addition, the city government facilitated pneumococcal vaccination for senior citizens, provided nutrition and counseling services, conducted non-communicable diseases risk assessments, and held an awareness lecture on non-communicable diseases.
This initiative was part of the local government’s ongoing efforts to enhance community health and well-being under the leadership of Mayor Imelda Aguilar.
