#MSLens | Lechon prices in La Loma set to double this holiday season

Christmas inflation is about to hit consumers this holiday season as the selling price for roasted pigs, popularly known as ‘lechon,’ will increase by 100 percent, according to vendors in La Loma, Quezon City.

La Loma, which earned the reputation as the “Lechon Capital of the Philippines,” is currently marketing the famous pork dish at P6,000 to P7,000.

This price range, however, is expected to surge at P12,000 to P15,000 for the month of December due to high demand. ‘Lechon’ is an iconic culinary feature at most Filipino parties during special occasions.
