Biofertilizer

Microbiologists and engineers from Agri Specialist Inc., inspect sacks of biofertilizer developed by the University of the Philippines-Los Baños at the firm’s facility in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The Agri Specialist says it will donate 500 metric tons of the newly developed biofertilizer to the government for application on some 500,000 hectares of rice and corn farmlands to enable the farmers to reduce their dependence on imported and expensive petroleum-based fertilizers.
