Local pizzeria Crosta Pizzeria has ranked 12th in the 50 Top Pizza World 2024 list, which highlights the 100 best pizzerias in the world. The accolade was announced during the 50 Top Pizza World ceremony held at Teatro Mercadante in Naples, Italy, on Sept. 10.
Crosta Pizzeria’s new ranking represents a significant improvement from its 54th place last year and comes alongside the Latteria Sorrentina Award for Pizza of the Year 2023 for its Cherry Culatello. This year, it also secured second place in the 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific and continues to hold its position as the top pizzeria in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, other local pizzerias were also recognized. A Mano ranked 70th globally and 12th in Asia-Pacific, while Wild Flour Italian secured 47th place in Asia-Pacific.
50 Top Pizza is an online network that provides information about the best pizzas and pizzerias worldwide. The rankings are based on a survey conducted by inspectors who visit the establishments anonymously.
The 2024 edition of 50 Top Pizza will conclude with the World Pizza Summit in London during the European Pizza & Pasta Show on Nov. 26 and 27. The event will feature the 50 Top World Artisan Pizza Chains awarding ceremony for the best artisan pizzeria chains globally.
