Cebu-based energy and water conglomerate Vivant Corp. said it was certified by Great Place To Work (GPTW) for the second year.
The coveted certification is based on the overall experience of Vivant employees where 88 percent said it’s a great place to work—a remarkable testament to the exceptional workplace culture Vivant continues to foster. Vivant also received the GPTW certification in January 2022 to January 2023.
GPTW is the global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and the leadership behaviors proven to deliver market-leading revenue, employee retention and increased innovation.
“Great Place To Work certification is a highly coveted achievement that requires consistent and intentional dedication to the overall employee experience,” said Sarah Lewis-Kulin, vice president of global recognition at Great Place To Work.
Kulin said the certification is the sole official recognition earned by the real-time feedback of employees regarding their company culture.
“By successfully earning this recognition, it is evident that Vivant Corporation stands out as one of the top companies to work for, providing a great workplace environment for its employees,” she said.
Arlo Sarmiento, Vivant chief executive, said the recertification as a Great Place To Work is a testament to the company’s commitment to building an exceptional workplace culture.
“The improvement in our overall score reflects the genuine impact of our initiatives and more importantly, validates that our employees feel valued, supported, and empowered. As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to our journey of continuous improvement, ensuring Vivant becomes an even better place for our people to thrive and succeed together,” Sarmiento said.
Peter Buenaseda, Vivant chief people officer, said the company’s training programs, wellness initiatives, and community volunteering activities have been core to our employee experience.
“In 2024, we enhanced these initiatives by expanding learning opportunities, launching new wellness programs, and introducing fresh engagement activities. These enhancements have bolstered employee satisfaction, creating a workplace where team members feel supported, engaged, and connected to both their personal growth and the community.” said Buenaseda.
