EEI Power, Mindoro hospital ink deal for rooftop solar system

EEI Power Corp., the energy arm of construction giant EEI Corp., and the Mindoro Medical Center-Calapan, Inc. (MMC) recently signed a contract for the installation of a 605 kilowatt peak solar PV rooftop system, marking a significant advancement in sustainable healthcare.

The goal of MMC and EEI Power’s partnership is to utilize clean and renewable energy to power a significant amount of the hospital’s operations.

In addition to lowering the hospital’s dependency on traditional electricity, the 605kWp solar rooftop system will also help save money over time, freeing up funds for facility improvements and better patient care.

Key executives from EEI Power and MMC attended the signing event, demonstrating their shared vision for a sustainable future that supports worldwide initiatives to combat climate change and advance green energy solutions.

The president of Mindoro Medical Center, Dr. Arthur Rico Villafuerte, shared his excitement about the project’s potential to improve hospital operations and at the same time support sustainability.

“This partnership with EEI Power is in line with our dedication as a healthcare institution to deliver excellent healthcare while contributing to environmental conservation and the healing of this planet,” Villafuerte said.

Robert Marlon Pereja, EEI Power vice president and general manager, underscored the value of this collaboration in promoting a more sustainable and greener future.
