The Figaro Coffee Group has announced a global commitment to source 100 percent cage-free eggs by 2035, earning praise from the international NGO Lever Foundation.
With 203 stores worldwide—including 64 Figaro Coffee outlets, 124 Angel’s Pizza branches, 10 Tien Ma’s restaurants, and 1 Koobideh Kebabs location—Figaro’s commitment extends across all its brands, underscoring its dedication to ethical sourcing.
Similarly, Andok’s, one of the Philippines’ largest food chains with over 70 dine-in locations, has pledged to transition to 100 percent cage-free eggs by 2035.
“We are proud to support animal welfare and sustainable food practices with our new cage-free egg policy. This reflects our broader mission to nourish communities, promote fair employment, and uphold responsible business practices,” ” said the Figaro Coffee Group marketing director Ace Azarraga.
Lever Foundation commended Figaro and Andok’s for their leadership in ethical sourcing. “Their commitments highlight the growing importance of animal welfare and sustainability in the food industry,” said Lever Foundation in the Philippines sustainability program manager Robyn Charisse del Rosario.
Cage-free egg production allows hens to move freely in indoor environments, improving animal welfare and reducing food safety risks.
