National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) renewed its partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) to provide school supplies, computer laboratories and school buildings to its various host communities.
Education Secretary Sonny Angara and NGCP president Anthony Almeda led the renewal of the memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the DepEd Head Office in Pasig City recently.
“The latest MOU reflects our strong commitment to supporting the Department of Education and fostering a brighter future for students across the country, ensuring that no one is left behind,” NGCP said in a statement.
“Through this partnership, we provide learners with a conducive environment that fosters growth and academic success, enabling them to reach their full potential and build a brighter future,” it said.
NGCP has provided P473.43 million of CSR program support to DepEd since 2011, including the distribution of 870,500 schoolbags filled with school supplies worth P212.13 million in 3,482 schools across the country.
