iQor Philippines, a provider of customer engagement and BPO solutions, has donated 413 refurbished computers to the Department of Education in Angeles City, Pampanga, providing students in 53 schools with essential access to technology to enhance their learning experience.

The computers were handed over during an event entitled, “Empowering Communities Through Education: iQor and RapidTech Sustainable Donation.” The donation ensures that elementary, junior, and senior high schools, as identified by the DepEd, receive the units.

iQor Philippines country lead Rod Hoddinott noted that the initiative aligns with iQor’s sustainability strategy, aiming to positively impact the communities it operates in and the environment.

“We believe our business is only as strong as our community. This initiative is a way for us to give back to the Angeles community that has supported our growth in the city. We are grateful to be able to contribute to the development of students and at the same time do good for the environment by reducing our waste and carbon footprint,” he said.

iQor partnered with Rapid Technologies, Inc. (Rapid Tech), an expert in providing refurbished IT hardware solutions, to modernize the computers to meet the students’ learning needs.

The official handover was formalized through a Deed of Donation signed by iQor representatives and the City of Angeles, represented by vice mayor Vicky Vega-Cabigting. The local government collaborated with the DepEd to distribute the computers and peripherals.

“iQor remains committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. By providing these computers, we aim to empower students with the essential tools they need to thrive in their educational journey. This donation is about more than just technology—it’s about unlocking opportunities and paving the way for the next generation to reach their full potential,” Hoddinott said.
