The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said Friday the termination of contract with All Card Inc., the printer of the National ID cards, is now subject to arbitration.
“In light of the confidentiality of arbitration, BSP is prohibited from disclosing matters relating to the proceedings,” the BSP said.
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said it trusts the decision of the BSP to terminate its contract with ACI. The BSP canceled the contract for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of lot 1 lease of card production equipment for National ID cards.
The PSA assured the public that it is taking necessary actions for the continuous issuance of National IDs.
“The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) trusts the assessment and decision of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to terminate its contract with their supplier for the National ID card production,” the PSA said.
