Metrobank Foundation, Inc. (MBFI) announced the 2024 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos, the most prestigious career-service award in the Philippines.
Now in its 39th year, this esteemed accolade honors exemplary teachers, soldiers, and police officers who have demonstrated unwavering dedication to their professions and communities, embodying the spirit of “Beyond Excellence.”
Since its establishment in 1985 by the late Metrobank group founder Dr. George S.K. Ty, the program has recognized 715 outstanding public servants.
The 2024 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Teachers are Ma. Ella F. Fabella, Franco Rino C. Apoyon, Decibel V. Faustino-Eslava, Ph.D., and Maria Regina M. Hechanova-Alampay, Ph.D. These educators have not only inspired and mentored their students but have also innovated educational practices and made significant contributions through research and community service.
The 2024 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Soldiers are Captain Salvador M. Sambalilo PN (GSC), Major Ron JR T. Villarosa (INF) PA, and Staff Sergeant Michael S. Rayanon PN(M). They have consistently demonstrated bravery, discipline, and unwavering commitment to national security and humanitarian efforts.
The 2024 Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipino Police Officers are Police Lieutenant Colonel Bryan G. Bernardino, Police Major Mark Ronan B. Balmaceda, and Police Staff Sergeant Llena Sol-Josefa M. Jovita. These officers have consistently displayed exemplary leadership, dedication to maintaining peace and order, and a willingness to go above and beyond their duties to serve and protect their communities.
“They continue to raise the bar of excellence in their respective fields, serving as role models, trailblazers in their professions, and redefining what going beyond public service truly means,” said MBFI president Aniceto M. Sobrepeña.
