Ninja Van Philippines, a tech-enabled express logistics company, signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the local government of Cabuyao, Laguna to enhance security, business continuity, and streamline delivery services in the city.
“This partnership with the Cabuyao City local government is meaningful to us, as Cabuyao is the host city of Ninja Van’s largest automated sorting hub not just in the Philippines, but across Southeast Asia,” said Ninja Van country head Jose Alvin Perez.
“We have been present in the city since 2018, and in line with our thrust to support nation-building, we’re quite excited to look for more ways we can work with the city government in providing support for its constituents,” he said.
Ninja Van Philippines’ partnership with the Cabuyao City local government is the company’s latest nation-building initiative made in collaboration with local and national government bodies.
“We want to maximize Cabuyao’s strategic location as an investment and trade hub, and we want to expand livelihood opportunities for residents of the city,” he said.
Perez said the 21,000 square-meter sorting facility in the city can employ as much as 2,400 people.
Sabina Lopez-Vergara, Ninja Van chief commercial, said the company can help build capacity among the city’s micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to harness digital trends such as social commerce.
