New PMC head vows to keep over 5,000 employees

Philsaga Mining Corp. president Joseph Mahusay promised to retain the more than 5,000 employees of the company and cooperate with the local community, government agencies and Australian partner Ten Sixty Four (X64).

Mahusay issued the statement in response to a video saying that more than 5,000 employees would be aggravated in his takeover of the post from the previous leadership.

“I firmly believe that our success lies in conducting business in a responsible, sustainable and ethical manner,” Mahusay said.

Mahusay said with the support of X64, he would continue business-as-usual operations and guaranteed the welfare and operations of the current PMC employees.

The current board of X64 also reminded the employees of PMC to refrain from following instructions from former president Raul Villanueva and his legal counsel Marie Glenn Sorilla.

“We assure you that their actions will not impact the continuity of our operations. Moving forward, we have decided to conduct a full internal audit of our existing policies and processes to ensure maximum efficiency of the operations,” the board said.

Mahusay and X64 managing director Jeffrey McGlinn expressed commitment to collaborate with the company’s workforce.
