The Batangas Kipsi Elementary School held a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebrated the completion of its campus renovation, the unveiling of the Anti-Japanese martyr Cai Kipsi monument and the opening of its new sports stadium on Dec. 1, 2024.
Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) vice president Edwin Fabro attended the event on behalf of president Dr. Cecilio Pedro.
Fabro lauded the school for its commitment to promoting traditional Chinese culture and providing quality education for the Filipino-Chinese community.
He emphasized the school’s key role in shaping future leaders and contributing to national development.
Fabro also highlighted the importance of a well-rounded education that balances academics with physical, moral, and social growth.
He said the new sports stadium would promote physical activity and healthy lifestyles among students.
The ceremony also paid tribute to anti-Japanese martyr Cai Kipsi, the school’s namesake, who sacrificed his life during World War II in defense of his comrades and the Filipino people.
Fabro urged attendees to honor his legacy of courage and selflessness.
The event marked a significant milestone for both the school and the local community and highlighted the values of education, heritage and national pride.
