Seng Guan Temple near Divisoria, Manila launched the 2024 Liberation Rite of Water and Land at Medicine Buddha Hall on Aug. 18, 2024, marking the 15th day of the seventh month of the lunar calendar.
The event aims to protect the country and eliminate disasters.
Master Chuanyin, the abbot of Seng Guan Temple, along with Shi Youzhi and Nataniel Ong, led the event.
Master Chuanyin delivered a sermon and explained the significance and extraordinary benefits of the Liberation Rite of Water and Land.
The rite is renowned for its purpose of invoking divine blessings for world peace, favorable weather, national prosperity and the alleviation of suffering for all sentient beings across the realms.
The temple invites all believers to join and earn valuable merit at the 2024 Liberation Rite of Water and Land.
The event will feature over a hundred esteemed monks chanting continuously for seven days and nights to promote universal well-being and harmony.
The incense burning and purification ceremony will be held on Nov. 24, 2024, with the main rites taking place from Nov. 25 to Dec. 1, 2024.
