The Taiwan-Philippines Educational Development Foundation (TPEDF), led by chief executive officer Lin Chai-Liang, continues to fulfill its mission of offering educational opportunities to deserving yet underprivileged Filipino youth by enabling them to study at various institutions in Taiwan.

The foundation sponsors plane tickets for about 1,000 students who are pursuing higher education in Taiwan for the upcoming school year.

The students, set to depart in August and September, are the top applicants and recipients of three-year scholarships to Taiwan’s renowned technological universities.

The scholarships are provided by the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) and the Taipei Economic Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines and include a comprehensive seven-year training program that leads to a bachelor’s degree and potential job placements.

TPEDF consistently supports students by covering their airfare, a critical part of their journey to Taiwan. The financial assistance is a key aspect of the foundation’s efforts for many years, helping to ensure that economic barriers do not prevent students from accessing educational opportunities.

Lin is supported by the foundation members including Chairman Su Kuo-Fang, Huang Ya-Hui, Lu Chia-Hsiang, Wu Kuo-Chen and Hsieh I-Ho.
