The Metropolitan Museum of the Philippines will host two panel discussions to commemorate the life and legacy of the late artist Pacita Abad, who made her mark not only in Batanes and the rest of the Philippines but also around the world.

The first talk, titled “Life in Batanes, Manila, and Around the World,” will feature a panel consisting of Pacita’s siblings Florencio “Butch” Abad, Orencia “Rency” Baroña, and Vicky Kerblat, as well as her husband Jack Garrity. Moderated by Clarissa Chikiamco, the discussion will focus on the artist’s life in Batanes and Manila, her travels around the world, and how these experiences influenced her art.
