McIntyre recalls fight with Lesnar; NXT now broadcast in PH

There are a lot of good memories for Drew McIntyre when he  beat Brock Lesnar on Night 2 of WrestleMania 36 for the heavyweight crown  in April last year.

McIntyre said he was glad to have climbed up the ring with Lesnar, and later to win the WWE Championship for the first time in his career.

The 6’5" McIntyre felt that this encounter gave him a chance to show the best side of himself and be successful in the end.

“Brock is not a man of many words. I’m fortunate to have a chance to work with him, and be successful in most of our encounters,” said McIntyre a year later on Zoom.

McIntyre talked about his most recent showdown with Lesnar after WWE organizers recently announced to broadcast NXT® live for the first time in the Philippines starting Wednesday, July 7.

The 265 lbs. McIntyre, who  is regarded as the best performer of the WWE’s ThunderDome Era, said there are only a few fighters who can bring their showdowns to the next level.

“I was provided an opportunity, and thanks to him. I was able to deliver,” said McIntyre.

And for McIntyre, Lesnar is one of them.

Since his return to WWE in 2017, he has since became the   2020 Men's Royal Rumble Match winner.

He has also claimed  the  Intercontinental championship, the WWE Tag Team crown, the  Raw Tag Team honors,  the  NXT title and  Raw's Gold Medal of Excellence.
