Officials of San Pablo City in Laguna were recognized during the Gawad Sinag 2024 awarding ceremony held on November 21, 2024 at the SPC Convention Center.
The said program is conducted annually to recognize and honor outstanding partners of the Department of Education in its projects and programs.

Those who were given special recognition included Rep. Loreto “Amben” Amante, Mayor Vicente Amante, City Administrator Larry Amante, and philanthropist Gem Castillo-Amante for their unwavering support of DepEd’s programs and projects for the improvement of the education system in the city.
DepEd San Pablo was led by San Pablo City Schools Division Superintendent Gerlie Ilagan.
