Police and anti-narcotics agents seized a total of 8.533 kilograms of shabu valued at P58,024,000 in a joint buy-bust operation in Imus, Cavite on June 19, 2021.
The operation was launched by the Manila Police District Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Cavite Provincial Police Office and Imus Municipal Police Station.
MPD chief Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco said five suspects were arrested for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act or Republic Act No. 9165 during the buy-bust operation.
They were Tamano Daud, aka Tam, 41 years old, male, jobless, with previous case for Illegal Drugs and Murder; Ismael Daud, aka Intsik, 24 years old, male, married, jobless; Norma Maguid, aka Sandra, 36 years old female, married; Bainor Maguid, aka Bai, 23 years old, single, female; and Omar Redia, aka Omar, 42 years old, single.
Francisco said these suspects will also be charged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition under Republic Act No. 10591.
“It was revealed that the suspects were members of the Tamano Drug Group distributing illegal drugs in Metro Manila, Quezon City and
Rizal Province linked to Montessir Sabal,” the MPD chief said.
