From the sweet memories of face-to-face concerts come the new normal trend of doing live shows exclusively for netizens.
Talent management company Breakthrough and Milestones Productions International (BMPI) not only dared to follow the trend but likewise envisioned to create concerts that will trend. Last month, as it partnered with communication app QONEQ, its concert project for The Bradz drew 15,000 viewers, with the official hashtag #BRADZAnnivConcert landing at the 4th spot of Twitter’s Philippine Trending Topic.
The trio of Sean, Chris, and JC played songs of Eraserheads and Rivermaya and promoted their latest single “LBM (Ligayang Bigay Mo)” and unreleased track “Wish Gurl.”
“Virtual events are really the new normal for the entertainment industry,” stated talent specialist Adjes Carreon.
This Sunday (Oct. 25) at 7:00 p.m., BMPI will parade another from its stable, The Wishfuls, in OPM Live: The Wishfuls, which should delight fans enough to turn it into a trending spectacle anew.
Each Wishful member already developed a following while participating in the first season of Wish 107.5’s online singing competition Wishcovery. Hence, they’re essentially strong solo artists in one group.
Carreon noted, “The Wishfuls are not new in performing in front of a huge crowd.”
The Wishfuls attracted strong support when they did The Wishful Journey at the Araneta Coliseum and gathered several OFWs at The Wishfuls Live in Dubai, UAE. They also generated fine reception at the Wish Music Awards, the Songs for Heroes held in MOA Arena, and the 90’s Upload show also staged in Dubai.
The group was eventually asked to participate in the local reality talent competition Your Moment aired by erstwhile free TV giant ABS-CBN.
The members of The Wishfuls, now joined in by Season 2 grand winner Rhea Basco, include Princess Sevillena, Kimberly Baluzo, Louie Anne Culala, Carmela Ariola, and Ace Bartolome.
While both The Bradz and The Wishfuls are legitimately well-followed in their own right, it’s the presence of established stars as guests that makes BMPI shows extra interesting.
The Bradz had them backed by lady rocker Barbie Almalbis, pop rock group Itchyworms, one-time Rivermaya frontman Jason Fernandez, and popular busker Eloisa Jayloni. The Wishfuls will have an even bigger set of guests in Concert King Martin Nievera, Soul Diva Jaya, RnB King Jayr, balladeers Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado, among others.
Small wonder this Sunday’s event is highly anticipated to make bigger waves.
Amazingly, The Wishfuls quickly bagged a platinum record award for their Star Music-backed album Wishful 5 Journey. Last year, in front of a physically present audience at La Verdad College Auditorium in Apalit, Pampanga, they shone bright along with other BMPI talents who all performed for “This Is The Time.” They simply made such time theirs.

BMPI also plans to feature its rock band signee Plethora for an e-concert.
