The suspect was charged before the City Prosecutor’s Office of Manila for violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The illegal drugs was turned over to the NBI Forensic Chemistry Division for laboratory examination and safe keeping.
During the last week of April, a confidential informant reported that Andil, from Tondo, offered him to sell shabu.
Distor said Andil was engaged in selling shabu with the help of Chinese nationals incarcerated in the Manila City Jail. The NBI also received information that Andil needed to sell right away the P200,000 worth of shabu.
On May 3, the NBI, together with the Manila Police District (MPD) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), planned and conducted a buy-bust operation at the Anda Circle, Intramuros which resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
