A composite team from the Philippine National Police – Aviation Security Group (PNP Avsegroup), NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG), Bureau of Customs (BoC), and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) executed a full-day operation following intelligence reports regarding the shipments earlier this week.

The interdiction process commenced during standard cargo X-ray screenings that detected suspicious contents within several packages.

Subsequent K-9 inspections by the PDEA, along with manual inspections carried out by the BoC, verified the presence of approximately 10,293 grams of dried leaves believed to be hybrid cannabis concealed within the packages.

Initial investigation indicated the packages originated from various shippers located in the United States and were destined for several individuals residing in the provinces of Cavite and Laguna.

All packages were classified as abandoned, and following the completion of the necessary documentation and inventory, the illegal narcotics were transferred to the PDEA National Office for appropriate legal action.

PNP-Avsegroup Director Brig. Gen. Dionisio Bartolome Jr. said ongoing investigations are focused on identifying and dismantling the networks responsible for this drug shipment.
