The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Thursday recorded a magnitude 4.5 offshore earthquake in the waters off Zambales at around 2:09 p.m.
Its epicenter was located 13 kilometers southwest of the coastal municipality of Iba in Zambales.

No damage or aftershocks were forecast by Phivolcs.
According to the state seismology bureau, Intensity IV (moderately strong) was felt in Iba.
Intensity III (weak) was also felt in Palauig, Masinloc, Botolan, and Cabangan in the same province.
