“Security is germane to OpenAI’s mission. It is critical we meet the highest standards for compliance, trust, and security to protect hundreds of millions of users of our products, enable democratic institutions to maximally benefit from these technologies, and drive the development of safe AGI (artificial general intelligence) for the world,” he stated.

With over ten years at Palantir, including six years as CISO, Stuckey brings extensive experience in cybersecurity.

He will collaborate with Matt Knight, who was recently promoted to head security at OpenAI.

“I am so excited for this next chapter, and can’t wait to help secure a future where AI benefits us all,” he added.

OpenAI has been enhancing its security measures, including forming a safety and security committee to guide critical decisions regarding its projects.

The company has also disrupted multiple cyber operations this year to show its commitment to cybersecurity.
