The PMA stated that the program aims to provide an opportunity for young officer candidates from both ASEAN and non-ASEAN countries to strengthen their confidence through interaction and idea exchange with other naval cadets.

This initiative also fosters mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation in maintaining global stability and security.

As part of the APCS, the cadets and accompanying officers participated in a seminar where they presented their ideas and delivered presentations about their respective home countries.

Additionally, they sailed aboard the Indonesian Navy’s Sail Training Ship, KRI Bima Subi, alongside their counterparts from the Indonesian Naval Academy as part of a goodwill voyage and port visit.

Jatico expressed his gratitude for the opportunity provided by the PMA, highlighting the incredible experience of visiting Indonesia, understanding its culture, and cultivating lifelong friendships with his counterparts.

Notably, 189 Indonesian Navy cadets and 32 navy cadets from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Timor-Leste, Australia, Chile, China, India, Italy, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, and Turkey participated in this activity.

These activities not only support the Department of National Defense’s thrusts in international defense and security engagement efforts but also expose the cadets to interactions with regional partners that contribute to regional stability and cooperation.
