Anthony Semerad scored six of his 12 points during overtime, leading the NLEX Road Warriors to a thrilling 103-99 victory over the Ginebra Gin Kings on Sunday night at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
In the crucial moments of the extra period, Semerad and DeQuan Jones sank two critical three-pointers in the final 2:16, propelling the Road Warriors to a 101-95 lead. Their clutch shooting gave NLEX the push they needed to secure the last quarterfinal slot in Group B.
Jones was the standout performer, finishing with an impressive 44 points and 10 rebounds, as NLEX closed out the pool stage with a 5-5 record.
For the Gin Kings, Justin Brownlee tallied 26 points but suffered an injury in overtime. His crucial jumper in the final 32 seconds of regulation tied the game at 92-all, forcing the extra period.
