A Cavite provincial official has underscored the importance of tapping youth power to address present-day social challenges.

Cavite board member Beverly Alvaran made this remark in her address at the opening of the annual youth congress in Trece Martires City attended by some 150 delegates, held Tuesday under the auspices of the provincial government.

The congress also featured insightful inputs from two esteemed resource speakers, Ana Viela Amparo and Deniesie Jane Ligsa from the Office of the Provincial Population Officer.

They discussed crucial topics such as teenage pregnancy issues in the Calabarzon region and HIV/AIDS awareness, providing the youth participants with valuable information and practical knowledge on navigating critical issues affecting today’s young generation.

The event was highlighted by the awarding ceremonies for Best Performing Pagasa Youth Association of the Philippines which recognizes “outstanding youth organizations that have demonstrated exceptional performance in implementing programs in their respective areas.”
