Eight8Ate Holdings Inc., the parent company of Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant, is set to launch a new fine dining concept called “The Barn.”
The first restaurant will open its doors in Clark Freeport, Pampanga before the end of the year.
Eight8Ate president and chief executive Joey Garcia described The Barn as a “level-up of Conti’s with more fine cuisines,” positioning it similarly to Wild Flour.
“We’re launching our first, you could say a little bit elevated Conti’s concept. We’re opening our first restaurant, which is, actually, the next generation of Conti’s,” Garcia said.
The restaurant will be housed in a renovated barn structure, reminiscent of old Clark, and is being developed as a destination dining experience.
He said The Barn would be a sub-brand under Conti’s, and they are looking at the possibility of expanding the concept in the future.
Eight8Ate is also aggressively expanding its Wendy’s and Conti’s brands.
Garcia said around 70 percent of their expansion plans for the two brands would be realized in the fourth of the year.
“I think between the two brands, we have about 20 plus stores opening in the next three to four months for the group, for both, combined,” Garcia said.
Wendy’s is expected to have over 80 stores, while Conti’s will have eight to 10 new stores by yearend.
The majority of these new stores will be located in first and second-tier cities and provincial areas, he said.
