It was an empowering day for women as the Villamor Golf Club Ladies Chapter successfully hosted the 34th Eagle’s Tee Golf Tournament at the Villamor Air Base Golf Course in Pasay City.
Presented by JAZY and Cong. Jay Suarez, the event highlighted the commitment of the Ladies Chapter to support its community, particularly in raising funds for the ground maintenance personnel of the Villamor Air Base Golf Club, who are considered the unsung heroes of the course.
Major sponsors were San Miguel Corporation and Ynion Group of Companies while Hole-in-One sponsors include Autohub Group, The Turf Company, K&G, G&W Clubshares, and Parikit.
Emerging as the overall champion in the men’s division was Bob Majarucon with 57 points while Micah Barrera topped the women’s division with 48 points.
In the fun hole contest, Jeff Bernaldez won the longest drive with a hit of 270 yards on hole no. 10 while Virgilio Capon was the Nearest to the Pin winner Virgilio Capon when his drive went just 4 inches from hole no. 17.
Shai Bautista was the grand raffle winner of Php34,000 cash awarded by Lydia Reyes, Villamor Ladies Chapter Vice President and Ting Yupangco, 34th Eagle’s Tee Tournament Chairman.
Villamor Ladies Gold Club chapter president Melanie Cruz and Reyes sponsored the cash prize.
