House Deputy Speaker and Las Piñas City Rep. Camille Villar rallied Maasinhons to continue supporting their local leaders as the city in Southern Leyte strives “to be abundant and world-class.”
In her inspirational message during Maasin’s 24th cityhood anniversary celebration recently, Villar said: “Let us unite to achieve progress of Maasin. I hope you continue supporting your leaders.”
“As we celebrate your 24 years of cityhood, I hope that you are all reminded of how important the bonds of your community are, and to take pride and joy that all of you here worked so hard to achieve your dreams as a community. Let today also remind you of the beauty of your strength as people, of your strength as a city.”
Villar noted how the “resilience and fortitude” of Maasinhons and the hard work of their leaders have brought progress to the city.
““Let this be a reminder of the more than two decades of collective hard work and perseverance that all of you put together leading into the development, prosperity, and progress of your beloved city,” she said.
“No other city embodies the spirit of cooperation, unity and bayanihan than the city of Maasin. I commend all of you for this has been the instrument and key to your success as a city,” she added.
