Actress Jessy Mendiola is known for her roles in films and TV shows. While her success in the industry is a dream come true, there is one childhood wish she has pursued even as she now juggles being a hands-on mother to her daughter, Isabella Rose—becoming a ballerina.
Jessy recently took to social media to share her journey in fulfilling this long-held dream.
“When I was younger, we couldn’t afford ballet classes. I remember watching other kids in their ballet outfits during a class at a dance studio in a mall in Makati. I kept telling myself, ‘one day, magagawa rin kita,’” she recalled in the caption.
In the post, which included a mirror selfie of Jessy wearing black tights, leotards, and pointe shoes, the actress emphasized that it’s never too late to start pursuing something you’ve always wanted.
“Here’s to trying new things no matter how old (or late) you are. The most important thing is that you’re happy and still willing to learn after all these years,” said Jessy.
Jessy also expressed her joy in finally becoming a ballerina while being a mother and shared her excitement about dancing with her daughter in the future.
