The 3rd Annual Lustre Awards 2023 was successfully held at the Grand Ballroom of Crowne Plaza Manila Galeria, in Ortigas on Saturday. The Awards night and ball celebrates the artistry of local and international fashion designers, and serves to give recognition to individuals and business organizations that have made significant contributions to the community.
The 3rd Lustre Awards, under the leadership of Don Cristobal, Executive Director and Producer, was held for the benefit of the Red Ribbon Duyan Project, a program dedicated to providing care, love, and attention to children with HIV.
Beauty queens were in the roster of awardees recognized for advocacy and service excellence, which include Miss Supranational 2023 1st Runner-up Pauline Amelinckx (Most Empowered Woman and Inspiring Beauty Queen of the Year); Miss Universe 2021 Top 5 Beatrice Luigi Gomez (Most Remarkable and Inspiring Beauty Queen of the Year); Miss Aura International 2021 Alexandra Faith Garcia (Most Empowered Woman and Exceptional Beauty Queen of the Year); and Noble Queen of the Universe 2019 Patricia Javier (Most Noble and Inspiring Woman of the Year).
Javier’s husband, Dr. Robert Walcher, won Philanthropist of the Year, and her son, Mister Teen International 2023 Robert Walcher IV, was awarded a Special Citation for Fashion.
For Fashion and Arts Excellence Category, Leo Almodal was recognized Most Remarkable and Inspiring Fashion Designer of the Year, while Raymund Seranillo won Most Remarkable and Inspiring Fashion Director of the Year. The author of this column received a Special Media Citation (for Manila Standard), also in Fashion and Arts Excellence Category.
