Makati gov’t shuts down 24 establishments for operating without business permits

The Makati City government has ordered the closure of 24 establishments for operating without business permits.

Inspectors from the city’s Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) issued closure orders to J. Benedicto & Associates, and L.B. Ferrer Apartment, both in Barangay Valenzuela; Greetime VIP Online Shop, DunkCover Inc., Amun-Ra Gaming Center, Ativo Land Corporation, all located in Barangay Bangkal; ESL Technical Services Inc. in San Isidro; Focus It, Future Canopy Agri Corp., Nurtured Planet Ventures Corp., all in Barangay San Lorenzo;

Right Eye Detective and Protective Services Inc., Techlab Software Development Services, and Anstar Medical Trading, all in Barangay Guadalupe Nuevo; Makati Cars, KML Properties Inc., Ethelbert Eatery, Nueva Ropa Laundromat, Safety Mart, Soliman Car Rental Services Corp., Alvimco Company Inc., and Stronghold Enterprise Group Inc., all in Barangay Pio del Pilar; and Maklibet Consumer Goods Wholesale, K. Roa Management Consultancy Services, and Kitz-Yuki E-Loading Station, all in Barangay Palanan.

All businesses, according to Mayor Abigail Binay, are reminded to renew their business permits this coming January. The local government will continue to crack down on erring businesses and commercial establishments operating in the city to protect the interest of legitimate businesses, residents, and the general public.

During the pandemic, the city government also shut down business establishments found operating without a permit and for violating the general community quarantine guidelines which are being enforced to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease.

The closure order against the establishments was made upon the recommendation of the Makati City police station.
